mark your calendars, smart watches, and sundials for the events at one church
God blesses everyone with talents and passions unique to them. To help you to discover your gifts and their purpose we designed Growth Track. You'll learn more about who you are, how you're made, and how we're all better together.
It runs the first three Sundays of every month at 11a and 1230p.
Have you ever felt the desire for a do-over, mulligan or a reset button in your life? Join us for our series: Second Chances, where we will look at the life of Moses and how his life teaches us how to be intentional in the preparation leading to our second chances and make the best of them with God’s strength when they arrive.
If you are a student in grades 6 – 12 and are looking for an engaging and fun community to be a part of, One Movement is the place you want to be! We meet every week on Wednesday evenings to hang out, play games, worship with music, and hear an impactful message. We meet from 7-8:30pm at One Church in Building C. If you would like more info or have any questions, please contact us via the email at the link below. See you there!
BE A HERO | PROJECTS
In 550 B.C. the nation of Israel had been bullied for 7 years. God chose an unlikely man by the name of Gideon to lead a transformation. He started with the transformation of Gideon himself. First, He revolutionized Gideon’s identity when He addressed him as “Mighty Hero.” Next, He called Gideon to the heroic action of disturbing his allies and destroying his family’s idols. Finally, He led him into a seemingly unwinnable battle with an unorthodox set of weapons. Gideon fought fear, chose obedience, and lived by faith.
Ultimately, Israel experienced victory over its enemies. But in the process, something even greater happened: Gideon became a hero.
The church needs fewer celebrities and more heroes. Celebrities live for self but heroes sacrifice for others. Jesus was the ultimate hero. He forfeited His divine rights and was faithful to death on the cross. His sacrifice led to our freedom. As the body of Christ, we have been filled with the Spirit of God and invited into His mission. This year our rallying cry is “Be a Hero.”
