Reminded | Revival

Main Verse:

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

- Romans 12:2, NIV

Main Points:

1. Emotions are useful and are a part of being fully alive but need to remain checked and under the model of Christ.

2. Because of this, and a failure to align to a Christly lifestyle, you can be fully saved, but still not be living a full life.

3. A full life ultimately, then, revolves around continually renewing your mind and reminding yourself of who and what we are called to be and why – being reminded of what we already have in Christ.

Action Steps:

1. Pray to God to be reminded of what has been given in Christ.

2. Study the Scriptures to examine what has been said in this regard and what it calls for in this life.

3. Obey and go!

Questions:

1. Were the Old Testament Prophets, Jesus, or the Apostles emotionless or not? If not, how were emotions a factor in their lives?

2. Have you shut yourself off emotionally? Why or why not? How can a reminder about what you have in Christ impact your emotional state?

3. What does Scripture say about being full and living full? Is your life in alignment with this scriptural outline of a full life? If not, how can this change?
